WE NEED THAT SCUM: A GUIDE TO BOSSK COLLECTING FROM MAIL-AWAY TO RACING CAR, A SERIES OF SCALY BOSSK MERCHANDISING Introduced in The Empire Strikes Back in the short but memorable scene on the Executor, Bossk was one of the few non-human characters in the movie. The Trandoshan also had a cameo in Return of the Jedi, but it wasn’t until the nineties that he (and his fellow bounty hunters) truly entered Star Wars stardom. West End Games created a background for Bossk that was later expanded, last but certainly not least in Star Wars: The Clone Wars where Bossk made several appearances. In more than three decades a lot of merchandise has been produced about Bossk that will enable you to set-up a nice collection of Bossk goodies only. Who still dares to comment that bounty hunters are scum? 3.75” Action Figures Most fans of vintage Kenner toys know that Boba Fett was available as a mail-away before The Empire Strikes Back was released, but so was Bossk. He was announced as a

5 Fantastic Star Wars board games For Star Wars fans there is nothing like the feeling of playing your favorite Star Wars game or watching your favorite Star Wars movies, but did you know there are some epic Star Wars board games out there? If not, here is a list of tabletop Star Wars games that you should check out, you can thank us later. Star Wars: Armada Want to plan your own spaceships course? Look no further than Star Wars: Armada. It takes some time to become a pro at this game, but true Star Wars fans will love it! Armada might seem a bit overwhelming (and a bit too geeky) at first. You use a plastic stick with a series of joints to plot the course of your ships. There are shields to consider on each side of your big ships, with dials to turn as you take damage. Do you want to use an action to transfer shields from starboard to the bow? Is it time to brace and minimize damage from a frontal attack? Should you use your special action token to improve your

The captured image is later sent to a high resolution 3D printer to create the figurine. This year, the experience will be located inside Darth’s Mall, near Streets of America across from Studio Catering. In addition to the new figurines, we will again offer the Carbon-Freeze Me figurine, Alderaan Princess figurine, and male and female options for Stormtrooper (http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2013/05/star-wars-d-tech-me-experience-returns-to-star-wars-weekends-at-disneys-hollywood-

‘Star Wars: Battlefront’ 5 Features Fans Want Most: 2015 Release Date, Gameplay, Story, DLC And More As many of you know, Star Wars: Battlefront was confirmed to arrive between April 16th and 19th of this year by EA and DICE. Fans don’t very much information at all about Star Wars: Battlefront but let’s go over some aspects the game needs to have to really wow the crowd. The Star Wars: Battlefront legacy is notorious for being a first person shooter style game and nothing else. Many longtime players will remember that both “Battlefield” games did offer players a choice between first and third person shooters. Many fans enjoy the option of this style of gameplay, so we think creators definitely need to include this in the game. Fans of Star Wars: Battlefront typically love the multiplayer gameplay but we think creators need to focus on a more expansive story line as well. There have been a few rumors that suggests a complex single player campaign is being made for Batt

FULLY OPERATIONAL FANDOM: ONE FAN’S MARVELOUS EWOK DIORAMA Love them or hate them, Ewoks are part of the Star Wars universe. The teddy bear-esque creatures were introduced in Return of the Jedi and proved themselves to be determined fighters. Once you get past the fact that they tried to roast our heroes over an open fire, you might gain some measure of respect for them. Maybe. If you can’t bring yourself to embrace and cherish Ewoks, don’t worry. David Mizejewski may have enough enthusiasm for all of us. The naturalist and spokesperson for the National Wildlife Federation rediscovered his passion for collecting and for Ewoks and built an incredibly detailed diorama so his Ewok figures are permanently on display in a habitat that resembles their home on the forest moon of Endor. After seeing his article about the diorama on Boing Boing, I talked with Mizejewski about his fandom and how he assembled his Ewok masterpiece.   StarWars.com: What is your first me

SWTOR Outfit Designer Restrictions Tait Watson posted an update on the offocial forums regarding Outfit Designer restrictions. BioWaer is still mproving the Outfit Designer and will add in some of the requested features after 3.2 Outfit designer still obeys class/armor restrictions Hey everyone, We think having the Outfit Designer ignore armor weight restrictions is a great idea! We are actively exploring changing this now, and I’ll let you know as soon as I know anything else. I’ve also seen the mention of weapons and Companions being included in the Outfit Designer. Even though it may not seem like it, adding an Outfit Designer tab for Companions would effectively be creating a new system. Due to this we won’t be implementing one for 3.2, but will look into the option for a future release. Similarly, adding the ability to stamp weapons would require a lot of changes to the backend of the system that is currently in place, so it is unfortunately not feasible
SOCIAL SCANNER – MARCH 20, 2015 As a member of the (very small) social media team here at Lucasfilm, I have the honor of reading, responding to, laughing at, loving, and sharing all of your Star Wars conversations every day. Our fans are creative, passionate, funny, and very active across the Internet; every Friday, I’ll share my favorite social media posts from the week in the Social Scanner, so show me what you’ve got! I’m excited. It’s Spring! It’s almost Celebration! It’s so close… which is kind of stressful! He seems very excited to see that Spring starts today! So am I. starwarsrebels pic.twitter.com/ubK8sWukL4 One of our biggest stories of the week was the announcement of Chuck Wendig’s new novel Aftermath,  due out this September. What makes this more fun for me is the social media history behind the book. Believe me, I know there are a lot of emotions about the EU, but I definitely agree that the Force is with Chuck. I can’t wait to see what is in store fo

STAR WARS MAPS: CHARTING THE GALAXY SINCE THE RELEASE OF THE ORIGINAL STAR WARS, THE LOCATIONS OF SYSTEMS AND WORLDS HAVE BEEN SLOWLY DEFINED. ”Without precise calculations we could fly right through a star or bounce too close to a supernova.” — Han Solo A Small Galaxy Ever since the release of the Star Wars movies, and especially with the start of the former Expanded Universe, people were longing for a map of that galaxy far, far away. While early novels didn’t include a lot of new places, the rise of West End Games’ role-playing works brought about a lot of new worlds, trade routes, and even galactic regions. Unfortunately, a full galaxy map was to be a future dream for about two decades, and early cartography enthusiasts had to do with partial maps only in official publications. West End Games provided several such detailed maps of specific regions or sectors within the galaxy, for use in role-playing adventures and campaigns. Players were introduced to ar

FROM WORLD WAR TO STAR WARS: RETURNING TO CELEBRATION THE LECTURE SERIES IS BACK AT STAR WARS CELEBRATION NEXT MONTH! Next month, From World War to Star Wars returns to where it all began: Star Wars Celebration! I’m happy to announce that I’ll be back at Celebration with an all-new presentation showing the many unexpected ways that World War II influenced the Star Wars saga. With less than a month to go, this is a special sneak peek at my latest installment of the live presentation. Star Wars Celebration has long been a favorite event of mine, so it was the perfect place to debut years of research to a public audience in 2012. Despite all of my work, I didn’t know what to expect. Would anyone show up? Did anyone care about history and Star Wars as much as I did? To my great relief, hundreds of you showed up and I got to share with a capacity crowd some of my favorite stories and connections, including the wartime exploits of Sir Alec Guinness and how the war he

WORLD’S LARGEST STAR WARS PAINTING TO PREMIERE AT CELEBRATION ANAHEIM ROBERT BURDEN'S AMAZING PAINTING “THE 20TH CENTURY SPACE OPERA” -- WHICH CHANGES HOW WE LOOK AT WALRUS MAN AND OTHER CLASSIC TOYS -- IS COMING TO STAR WARS CELEBRATION. It’s likely the world’s largest Star Wars oil painting at 8-feet high by 15-feet wide. It took over 2,000 hours to complete over 18 months. In it, 32-year-old artist Robert Xavier Burden depicts practically every vintage Star Wars action figure, many vehicles, and “Easter eggs” such as a portrait of mythologist Joseph Campbell, all against a colorful tapestry-like background. You really have to see it to fully appreciate it — and if you’re going to be at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim April 16 to 19, you’re in luck! The painting, “The 20th Century Space Opera,” will have its first public display anywhere at the Rancho Obi-Wan exhibit, which this year is dedicated to art and fan-made artifacts. SWTOR - Dromund Kaas Imperial Citadel on Minecraft Imperial Citadel Here’s a gamer who has combined two of my favorite things: Star Wars/SWTOR and Minecraft. Here you will see that Jedimonkey38 built the Dromund Kaas Citadel in Minecraft. See for yourself here: How awesome is that? I have seen some pretty amazing Minecraft builds over the years. My kids are also really into Minecraft and spend hours watching videos and reading about it. My son even bought a Minecraft manual from the school book fair. So as you can see, we’re a family who is not new to the blocky world. That said, I really love to see when people go outside the typical and create something new or unique. Whenever someone combines one game or story world with another, they’re probably going to get some smiles from me as well, as is the case with this. Here you will find a Speeder Transport, Mandalorian Enlave Entrance, Sith Sanctum Entrance, Imperial Intelligence Headquarters Entranc
